S.Korea Beats Columbia 2-0 in Int'l Youth Soccer Match

Striker Jong Jo-gook netted two second-half goals to give South Korea's youth team a 2-0 victory over Columbia at the four-nation Suwon Cup Under-20 Football Festival Thursday.

Jung, 19, scored the first goal with a penalty kick that he earned in the 55th minute of the match at Suwon's World Cup Stadium.

Jung, who played for the Anyang LG Cheetahs of the K-League, came up with another goal five minutes later, after dribbling down the pitch and clearing two defenders.

The victory came two days after the South fought to a scoreless draw in its opening match against Slovakia.

The fourth team taking part in the five-day tournament is Australia.
