Domestic gasoline and diesel prices have reached the highest levels this year. 

The Korea National Oil Corporation website Opinet says gasoline sold for one-thousand-659-point-six won per liter in the first week of this month.

That's the highest price since late 2014.

Diesel also jumped ten won this week to one-thousand-461-point-five won.

Kerosene rose seven-point-eight won to reach 975-point-five won.

The National Oil Corporation says tensions between the United States and Iran have been pushing up global oil prices, leading to domestic fuel price increases in Korea.
