Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon says that the government will produce additional measures if its latest efforts aimed at reining in soaring home prices prove to be insufficient.

The minister made the comments during an appearance on a KBS news program on Thursday.

Regarding a plan to supply 300-thousand homes in the capital region, Kim said that the government will provide public land for the project as well as seek deregulation in urban areas to facilitate housing supply in consultation with local governments.

On the worsening job indicators, the minister projected that the nation is unlikely to see any improvement in the job data in the short term, including in September.
