The heads of the nation's four largest business groups will likely accompany President Moon Jae-in to the upcoming inter-Korean summit in Pyongyang next week.

According to sources in the business sector, the presidential office recently requested the four conglomerates' chiefs to visit the North with the president as part of an economic delegation.

Observers say there is high likelihood that the economic delegation will include Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, Hyundai Motor Group Vice Chairman Chung Eui-sun, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo.

A source said that the matter is now under review, adding that it is difficult to turn down the top office's request.
