The main opposition Liberty Korea Party(LKP) says none of its members will accompany President Moon Jae-in during his upcoming visit to North Korea for an inter-Korean summit.

LKP Floor Leader Kim Sung-tae said on Friday that Moon was apparently hoping to be joined by leaders of the National Assembly's negotiating blocs when he heads to Pyongyang on September 18th.

However, Kim said the LKP believes it is improper for parliament to be a “side branch” of a government entourage when there is no practical progress on the North’s denuclearization, including the disposal of nuclear weapons held by the regime.
