Over eleven-thousand recalled BMW vehicles have not yet received safety inspections and are therefore subject to the government ban.

The Transport Ministry said that as of 12 a.m. Friday, eleven-thousand-471 BMWs have not completed safety checks, which is about ten-point-eight percent of the total recalled cars.

The ministry said that of this number, about eight thousand vehicles have made reservations for inspections at some 60 BMW service centers nationwide, which leaves about just 35-hundred cars that will likely be banned from operation.

Meanwhile, since the government announced that it was reviewing a ban on uninspected BMWs, the price of secondhand BMW 520d sedans is known to have dropped significantly in online auctions.

The price comparison Web site "Heydealer" analyzed its own auction transactions and said the average price of a used 520d sedan dropped more than 14 percent from over 29 million won to about 25 million since the the announcement of a possible ban.
