Domestic gasoline and diesel prices have risen for the fourth week, reaching the highest levels this year.

According to Opinet, a Web site on oil price information run by the Korea National Oil Corporation, the price of regular gasoline sold at gas stations nationwide rose by an average zero-point-seven won to over one-thousand-612 won per liter in the fourth week of July.

It's the highest level since prices hit one-thousand-620 won at the end of 2014.

The price of diesel has also gone up zero-point-seven won to over one-thousand-413 won per liter this week, again the highest so far this year and the highest since the last week of 2014.

The price of kerosene also continued its climb, selling at 943-point-six won, the highest since August 2015.

The National Oil Corporation said that global oil prices have risen due to decreased inventory in the U.S. and a suspension in Saudi Arabia's oil shipments along Red Sea routes.
