KOSPI Ends Friday Up 0.30%

South Korea's benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) climbed on Friday as the dollar sagged following U.S. President Donald Trump's expression of concern about its strength and the Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes.

The KOSPI gained six-point-90 points, or point-30 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-289-point-19.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell four-point-88 points, or point-61 percent. It closed the day at 791-point-61. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened point-five won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-133-point-seven won.
