Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon says the government will expand its spending next year by more than seven-point-five percent as the economy is expected to face difficult times. 

He made the remark in a briefing on Wednesday after attending a meeting of economy-related ministers in Seoul. 

Kim said that economic conditions could worsen if uncertainties mount in global trade and financial markets due to the U.S.-China dispute and monetary policy normalization. 

He also projected that economic growth could slow and that employment conditions and the slump in income distribution will not improve over a short time period.
