KOSPI Gains 1.13% Friday

South Korean stocks rebounded Friday on the back of gains on Wall Street fueled by expectations of strong U.S. earnings, as well as Washington and Beijing signaling they are open to resuming negotiations over trade.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 25-point-84 points, or one-point-13 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-310-point-90.  

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose eight-point-60 points, or one-point-05 percent. It closed the day at 827-point-89. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-four won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-123-point-five won.
