KOSPI Gains 0.37% Tuesday

South Korean stocks closed higher on Tuesday as recent trade-related concerns seemed to have faded for now.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) added eight-point-36 points, or point-37 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-294-point-16.  

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, adding four-point-91 points, or point-61 percent, to close at 813-point-19. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened three-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-116 won.
