Prosecutors are continuing their interrogation of Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Yang-ho over allegations of tax evasion and embezzlement.

Since summoning Cho as a suspect on Thursday morning, the prosecution is known to have grilled him on charges he and his family members embezzled more than 20 billion won through illegal inter-affiliate deals.

The prosecution suspects the family made undue profits by signing a supply contract for in-flight meals with a company whose major shareholder is Cho Yang-ho's brother-in-law and selling duty-free goods supplied by a company owned by the family.

It's also known that prosecutors have discovered the group’s flagship company, Korean Air, spent part of its budget hiring around ten big-name lawyers for Cho’s oldest daughter, Cho Hyun-ah, in 2014, when she was facing charges of violating the aviation security law.

The prosecution plans to grill him on allegations that he and his siblings failed to pay over 50 billion won in inheritance tax.
