New data finds that net worth per household amounted to 388-point-67 million won as of the end of last year.

That's according to the 2017 national balance sheet released by the Bank of Korea and Statistics Korea on Tuesday.

The data found that 75-point-four percent of such net worth per household was held in non-financial assets, such as real estate property. The prices of non-productive assets, such as land, grew at the highest rate since the financial crisis thanks to the booming real estate market.

The data also found that the nation’s net assets stood at over ten-point-38 quadrillion won, up five-point-seven percent or 741-point-five trillion won from a year earlier. It is also eight times greater than the nation’s gross domestic product.

A nation’s national net wealth refers to the total sum of the value of a nation's assets after its liabilities are deducted.
