Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon has admitted the execution of state job-creation efforts for the first half of the year is lagging far behind its goals. 

Speaking at a meeting on Friday with executives of Shinsegae Group to discuss innovative growth, Kim expected less than 200-thousand jobs would have been increased in the January-June period.  

The government aims to create 320-thousand jobs this year.
