The Moon administration Cabinet endorsed the minimum wage bill Tuesday, prompting immediate condemnation from the the labor community.

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions(KCTU), one of the nation's largest labor organizations, held a press conference in front of the presidential residence to announce that they would begin rallying against the law from Saturday.

The Federation of Korean Trade Unions(FKTU) also held a rally Tuesday in front of the Government Complex in Seoul and declared that they would struggle for a re-modification of the minimum wage bill.

The minimum wage bill was passed by the National Assembly last Monday and includes certain regular bonuses and welfare benefits in its calculation of minimum wages, a formula labor says undermines the purpose of the law.
