U.S. President Donald Trump says that he will know next week whether his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will take place on June 12th in Singapore as scheduled.

When asked if the summit would go ahead, Trump told reporters at the White House on Wednesday that "we will know next week about Singapore," adding that it could very well happen.

He also said that if the summit is held, it’ll be a great thing for North Korea. 

Trump’s remarks follow his suggestion on Tuesday that there could be a delay in the summit. 

He said that that there are certain conditions that the U.S. wants and if it doesn’t get those conditions, the meeting will not take place.
