The Unification Ministry says a group of South Korean journalists will leave for North Korea on Wednesday to cover the dismantlement of the Punggye-ri nuclear test site. 

Ministry spokesman Baik Tae-hyun told reporters that the South Korean reporters will depart for the North Korean city of Wonsan from Seoul Air Base aboard a government transport plane at 12:30 p.m. 

Baik said the reporters are expected to return home together with journalists from other countries who will be in the North to cover the dismantlement event. He said the government consulted with Washington in advance on the issue.
