AfDB Annual Meetings to Open in Busan Next Week

Leaders and finance ministers from about 80 countries will gather in South Korea's southern port city of Busan next week for annual meetings of the African Development Bank(AfDB).

Busan City said on Wednesday that the 2018 AfDB annual meetings will be held from next Monday to Friday at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, or BEXCO.

The event will draw about four-thousand people from 54 African countries and 26 other nations including leaders, finance ministers and central bank governors.

The city plans to seek export opportunities and diverse economic exchanges with African countries in the areas of drones, shoes, energy and railway and expects the large-scale meetings will create 24 billion won worth of production and about 330 jobs.
