KOSPI Closes Up 0.83% on Thursday

South Korean stocks were boosted on Thursday following strong gains from leading bank and tech shares.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 20-point-18 points, or point-83 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-464-point-16.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining four-point-08 points, or point-48 percent, to close the day at 854-point-93.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened seven-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-73-point-one won.
