The youngest daughter of embattled Korean Air Chairman Cho Yang-ho will face investigation by the prosecution over her so-called "water rage" incident.
The Seoul Gangseo Police Station said on Thursday that it will indict Cho Hyun-min, the former Korean Air senior marketing executive, on the charge of obstruction of business and refer her to the prosecution on Friday. The decision came after police concluded that Cho disrupted a business meeting with officials from an ad agency in March with abusive language and behavior.
Cho has been accused of shouting, throwing a glass cup and hurling a drink from a paper cup, after flying into a rage when an employee of the firm failed to answer her questions properly.
Last Friday, police sought an arrest warrant for Cho. However, a Seoul court rejected the request, citing that victims didn't seek punishment regarding charges of assault against Cho. Police also decided to drop special assault charges after concluding that Cho did not throw the glass cup toward a person.
