KOSPI Closes 0.24% Lower on Wednesday

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) posted a small loss on Wednesday amid rising global political uncertainty following the U.S.’ withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal. 

The KOSPI fell five-point-83 points, or point-24 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-443-point-98.  

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ surged following heavy losses on Tuesday, gaining 23-point-63 points, or two-point-86 percent, to close the day at 850-point-85. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened four-point-four won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-80-point-nine won.
