The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Friday fell 25-point-87 points, or one-point-04 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-461-point-38.  

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing nine-point-73 points, or one-point-12 percent, to end at 856-point-34. 

The losses are on the back of ongoing worries about trade tensions between the United States and China.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened point-nine won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-77-point-two won.
