The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday rose 22-point-98 points, or point-92 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-515-point-38.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell ten-point-54 points, or one-point-19 percent, to close the day at 875-point-95.
On the foreign exchange, the won rallied amid the easing of tensions on the Korean Peninsula following Friday’s inter-Korean summit.
The local currency strengthened eight-point-six won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-68 won.
