Naver Unveils Measures on Online Comments

Naver, South Korea's leading Internet portal, has announced a set of measures regarding online comments amid growing public criticism of an opinion rigging scandal involving an influential blogger.

In an announcement posted on its official blog "Naver Diary" on Wednesday, Naver said that its users can no longer post more than three comments on a news article under a single account.

Previously, up to 20 comments could be posted on a news article using a single account.

Naver users will also be banned from clicking "like" more than 50 times on comments on online stories using a single account in 24 hours. Previously, there was no limit.

Users will also have to wait for at least 60 seconds after posting a comment, before they can post another one. The previous interval was ten seconds.
