Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee saw his ranking in the global list of billionaires drop seven notches to 44th over the past five months.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index on Sunday, Lee's net worth is estimated at 20 billion U.S. dollars or 21-point-five trillion won as of Saturday.

His ranking, which stood at 37th place in mid-November last year, slipped to 44th, as the stock price of Samsung Electronics plunged about 13 percent in just five months.

Lee came in tenth in the ranking of the 100 wealthiest people in the Asia-Pacific region, down two notches from last November.
