Organizing Committee for South-North Summit to Hold 1st Meeting This Weekend

A senior official of the presidential office says that an organizing committee for the inter-Korean summit set for next month will hold its first meeting around this weekend.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, the official said that the committee, chaired by Presidential Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok, will likely hold its first meeting this weekend after selecting its members early this week.

The official also said that preparations have yet to be made for establishing a communication hotline between the leaders of the two Koreas.

The official said working-level talks need to be held with the North but such discussions have yet to take place.
