Kim Jong-un: S. Korea Won't Wake up to N. Korean Missile Launches

Seoul’s presidential official says that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un told envoys from the South that Seoul will no longer wake up to North Korean missile provocations.

According to a key South Korean presidential official on Friday, Kim said during the meeting with the South Korean presidential envoys that it must have been difficult for President Moon Jae-in to convene National Security Council meetings in the wee hours over North Korean missiles.

Kim was said to have added Moon does not have to worry about it any longer since he “has made a decision today.”

On Tuesday, the South Korean envoys announced a six-point agreement made during their meeting with Kim, including plans for an inter-Korean summit next month and the suspension of North Korean provocations while talks are under way.

Regarding another agreement to establish a hot line between the leaders from the two Koreas, Kim said he and Moon will use it to quickly solve problems that may occur during working-level talks.
