South Korea’s top diplomat says the country is sure that both Washington and Pyongyang are willing to talk with one another. 

In an interview with Singaporean broadcaster, Channel News Asia, released on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said Seoul has confirmed the two sides’ will for bilateral talks through their delegations to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics last month. 

She said that although there was no direct contact between the U.S. and the North on the sidelines of the PyeongChang Games, the South was able to verify their will for dialogue with each other during Seoul’s separate talks with them.  

She said Seoul’s job now is to bring the two sides together.
