Two Koreas Discuss Details of N. Korea's Participation in PyeongChang Paralympics

South and North Korea have held working-level talks for the North's participation in the PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games.

Seoul’s Unification Ministry said Tuesday that the two sides exchanged opinions during the 44-minute morning session on the size of the North Korean delegation including athletes, duration of their visit, their travel routes and provision of accommodations and other conveniences by the South. An afternoon session was held after lunch.

Six officials, three from each side, attended the talks, led by Lee Joo-tae, the Unification Ministry's director-general in charge of inter-Korean exchanges, and Hwang Chung-song, a director at North Korea's Committee for Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland.

Last month, the two Koreas agreed that the North will send a delegation of about 150 athletes, officials and cheerleaders to the South for the Paralympic Games.
