S. Korea to Hold IR Sessions in Malaysia, Singapore

South Korea will hold investor relations(IR) sessions in Malaysia and Singapore from Wednesday to Friday to attract foreign investment.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said on Tuesday that during the IR sessions, the government will promote the country's strong points, such as its innovative industrial climate and free trade deals which connects with 77 percent of the world market.
 
The government will also brief financial investors on South Korea's regional development projects, small and medium-sized firms seeking foreign investment, and promising takeover targets. 

In Malaysia, one-on-one sessions will be held with the country's sovereign wealth fund, pension and other funds, consumer goods companies seeking to invest in South Korea and investors interested in the South Korean property market. 

In Singapore, the government will hold a business roundtable with investment banks, private equity funds, manufacturing companies and renewable energy firms interested in the South Korean market.
