A conservative civic group in South Korea is holding a rally near a Seoul hotel where a visiting North Korean delegation to the PyeongChang Olympics is staying.
Around ten members of the group that calls themselves the "patriotic citizens’ alliance" gathered on Monday outside the hotel to demonstrate against the ongoing visit by the high-level Pyongyang delegation led by Kim Yong-chol, a key official in the North's ruling party in charge of handling inter-Korean affairs.
During their rally, they accused President Moon Jae-in of being “a rear squadron for the North Korean puppet regime” and inviting figures allegedly behind the deaths of South Korean soldiers.
The demonstrators tore up a picture of Kim, burned the North Korean flag, and vowed to continue their protest until the North Korean delegation leaves the country.
Kim is accused of masterminding two attacks on South Korea, including the sinking of the South Korean warship Cheonan in 2010, which killed 46 sailors.
