The government is considering drawing up a supplementary budget to support job creation programs for youths if current funds are deemed insufficient.

A senior official of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance said on Sunday that the government is mulling ways to prepare funds to support youth employment.

There have only been three cases in which the government compiled a supplementary budget during the first quarter of the year. 

Such measures were taken after the Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s and in 2009, after the global financial crisis.
