Samsung Electronics has unveiled its new flagship smartphones in Spain, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

During the showcase event on the eve of the Mobile World Congress(MWC) in Barcelona on Sunday, the tech giant unveiled the five-point-eight-inch Galaxy S9 and six-point-two inch Galaxy S9 Plus.

The firm said that the new phones are about the same size as previous versions, but have an advanced camera along with new tools, such as augmented reality(AR) emoji and improved slow-motion video. 

The Galaxy S9 series comes with a super-speed dual pixel image sensor that can shoot 960 frames per second, which enables users to capture fast-moving objects in clear image.

The AR feature allows users to generate an emoji by taking a selfie, which can be sent through major mobile messengers. 

The new smartphones are also capable of shooting better photos in dark settings.
