KDB Proposes 8 Conditions for Provision of Funds to GM Korea

The Korea Development Bank(KDB) is known to have broached several demands with General Motors(GM) headquarters, including a disclosure of financial statements and submission of a long-term management plan.

According to government and industry sources on Thursday, KDB President Lee Dong-geol presented eight conditions for the provision of funds to the U.S. carmaker during his meeting with GM Executive Vice President Barry Engle on Wednesday.

The list includes GM establishing and submitting plans on profit-making and long-term development, disclosure of its quarterly results and lowering interest on loans.

Engle is known to have agreed to accept the terms offered by the Korean bank. But it's not known which of the eight conditions he accepted as is and which ones were revised.
