N. Korean IOC Member Leaves PyeongChang for Health Reasons

Chang Ung, North Korea's sole member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), headed home on Sunday, a week before the closing of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, due to health reasons.

Chang left the Olympics' host city in the morning and headed for Incheon International Airport. He will reportedly fly to Pyongyang via Beijing.

The North Korean IOC member arrived in the South on February 4th to attend the IOC session in the host city. He also participated in a number of Olympic events and festivals, including the opening ceremony on February 9th.

Chang reportedly decided to leave early as he caught a cold during his stay in PyeongChang, which has been severely cold with storm winds.
