North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's sister, Kim Yo-jong, will arrive in South Korea on Friday afternoon along with other members of Pyongyang's high-level delegation to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
South Korea's Unification Ministry said Wednesday that it was notified that the group would land at Incheon International Airport at around 1:30 p.m. Friday on a private plane which will fly directly from Pyongyang.
The plane will return straight away and come back to the South on Sunday to transport the delegation back to the North.
The 22-member high-level delegation includes Kim, the 28-year old deputy director of the propaganda department of the Workers' Party, as well as Choe Hwi, chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, and Ri Son-gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland.
The group will be led by the North's ceremonial head of state Kim Yong-nam.
Kim Yo-jong's visit marks the first time that a member of the Kim dynasty will be stepping foot in the South.
