North Korea has denounced the U.S.’ recently-released Nuclear Posture Review(NPR), saying that with the report the U.S. has declared a nuclear war on the entire world.  

A spokesperson for the Institute for American Studies under the North’s Foreign Ministry told the state-run Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday that with the release of the report, the Trump administration has bluntly revealed its wicked ambition to take over the world and threaten major countries with nuclear weapons.

The spokesperson said that the U.S. stated in the latest report that it is developing new nuclear weapons, including tactical nuclear warheads with low explosive power, and that it will engage in preemptive nuclear strikes against enemy attacks regardless of whether such attacks are nuclear or not. 

The spokesperson said the report clearly shows that the Trump administration is begging for a nuclear war before claiming that the North was undoubtedly doing the right thing by honing its nuclear deterrence.
