The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday fell 33-point-64 points, or one-point-33 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-491-point-75. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ plummeted 41-point-25 points, or four-point-59 percent on the back of Wall Street woes. It closed the day at 858-point-22. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened eight-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-88-point-five won.
