President Moon Jae-in has discussed with his aides measures to stimulate social financing activities in the nation. 

Presidential Spokesman Park Soo-hyun said that during a meeting at the presidential office on Monday, the government decided to provide intensive assistance to the creation of a social finance market. 

According to Park, the government's role will be confined to institutional and financial support, noting the private sector will be encouraged to lead the social finance market in accordance with the spirit of social economy.

Social finance refers to funding activities not intended to help interest-maximizing corporate activities but to foster social enterprises seeking social values and public interests.
