Gov't: Koreas Coordinating Details for Inter-Korean Cultural Event

The Unification Ministry in Seoul says South and North Korea are negotiating the details for a joint cultural performance that they will hold at the North's Mount Geumgang before the PyeongChang Olympics.

Ministry spokesman Baik Tae-hyun said Wednesday that a South Korean advance team currently visiting the North includes culture-related officials. He said officials of the two Koreas are known to be discussing the possible venues for the performances and other details, including the content and cast.

Last Wednesday, the two Koreas agreed to hold inter-Korean cultural events and joint training sessions for skiers at Masikryong Ski Resort in the North.

Seoul dispatched an advance team to the North on Tuesday for a three-day visit to make preparations and examine various facilities.
