The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday fell six-point-31 points, or point-25 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-515-point-43.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 14-point-65 points, or one-point-63 percent. It closed the day at 886-point-58.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened six-point-six won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-69-point-three won.
