The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Tuesday rose 18-point-01 points, or point-72 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-521-point-74.  

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ broke the 900 mark for the first time in almost 16 years, adding nine-point-62 points, or one-point-08 percent, to close the day at 901-point-23. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency remained steady and ended the session at one-thousand-62-point-seven won.
