183,000 People Join Online Petition against Cryptocurrency Regulations

More than 180-thousand people have joined an online petition on the presidential office's Web site against the government's drastic regulations on cryptocurrency transactions.

The online petition demanding that the government change its “anti-cryptocurrency stance” has drawn 183-thousand people, as of 8 a.m. Monday.

Presidential secretaries or heads of related ministries must present the government's official stance on the matter if the figure tops 200-thousand in a month.

The participants of the online petition, which started on December 28th, are likely to surpass 200-thousand as early as Monday.

Some of the online comments on the petition said that the government is treating even normal investors as speculators because of a few people who use virtual coins illegally.
