Vice Culture Minister Likely to Head S. Korean Delegation for Working-level Inter-Korean Talks

South Korea's vice culture minister is likely to lead a South Korean delegation for working-level inter-Korean talks on North Korea's participation in the upcoming PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

An official at South Korea's Unification Ministry said on Thursday that the working-level talks will be led by the Culture Ministry and the PyeongChang Olympics organizing committee, and the government thinks it would be natural for Vice Culture Minister Roh Tae-kang to lead Seoul's delegation for the talks.

The vice minister was among the five-member delegation for Tuesday's high-level inter-Korean talks.

If Roh is named Seoul's chief delegate, his North Korean counterpart Won Kil-u is likely to head the North Korean delegation. Won also participated in the high-level talks.

The Seoul government expects the working-level talks will be held next week.
