S.Korea poised for first gold medal at Daegu Universiade Friday

South Korea is poised to secure its first gold medals Friday, the second day of the Daegu Universiade, in six sporting events including Taekwondo and fencing.

In men's taekwondo, Oh Hyung keun will vie for the gold in the feather-weight class, while Han Jin-seon will challenge for the winner's stand in the women's light-weight class.

In fencing, 4 men will seek gold in the category of floret individual.

Preliminary matches in tennis, volleyball, baseball, and soccer are also scheduled in both men and women's competition Friday.
