S. Korean JCS: No Sign of Imminent N. Korean Provocation

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff(JCS) says there is no sign of an imminent North Korean provocation.

JCS Spokesman Army Colonel Roh Jae-cheon told reporters on Thursday that there have been no movements that indicate the North will soon conduct another missile launch.

Roh was quick to add, however, that the South Korean military is on constant alert under cooperation with the U.S. as it believes the North's nuclear and missile provocations could happen anytime and anywhere.

His remarks were made after CBS News on Tuesday reported that North Korea appears to be in the early stages of a launch cycle for another intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM) test.
