CBS: N. Korea Appears to be Preparing Another ICBM Test

North Korea is reportedly preparing a new missile test, as the two Koreas inch closer to holding high-level talks to find ways to cooperate on the Winter Olympics in the South.

CBS News reported on Tuesday that North Korea appears to be in the early stages of a launch cycle for another intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM) test.

The report said that the missile activity is at the same location just north of Pyongyang where an ICBM test occurred in November. It said that if there is a test, it would likely take place later this week or next.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on Monday warned in his New Year's speech that he has a "nuclear button" on his desk ready for use if North Korea is threatened, raising speculations about a possible fresh missile provocation by the North.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley issued a stern warning to the North on Tuesday, saying the U.S. "will never accept a nuclear North Korea."

She said he civilized world must remain united and vigilant against the rogue state's nuclear arsenal.
