Stock trading at the South Korean bourse will resume on Tuesday.

The Korea Exchange said Friday it will mark the opening of the securities market in a ceremony Tuesday.

The event at the Seoul bourse will be attended by some 300 industry and government officials including Financial Services Commission Chairman Choi Jong-ku and Korea Exchange chief Jung Ji-won.

Due to the event, stock markets including the KOSPI, KOSDAQ and KONEX will open an hour later at 10 a.m. But trading will end at 3:30 p.m. as usual.
