S. Korean iPhone Users to File Lawsuit Against Apple

South Korean iPhone users may soon file a class action complaint against Apple over its recent admission that it deliberately slowed down older iPhone models to prevent unexpected shutdowns.

A Seoul-based law firm, Hannuri Law, said Wednesday it will recruit plaintiffs for an indemnity lawsuit against Apple and its Korean office beginning Thursday.

Cho Kye-chang, an attorney at the firm, argued that the U.S. tech giant intentionally concealed “very important facts,” in complete violation of law, and should be held responsible for it.

The law firm has yet to decide when to file the lawsuit and how much compensation it will seek for each plaintiff.
