The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday rose nine-point-33 points, or point-38 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-436-point-67.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ gained 29-point-74 points or three-point-90 percent, due to net buying by individuals as well as foreigners. It closed the day at 791-point-95.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened two won against the greenback, closing at one-thousand-74-point-one won.
